Taha Hassaballa Malasi


I Graduated from Alexandra University in 1967.
I Worked as medical officer in many part of Sudan until 1971. In 1972 I passes a psychiatric qualify exam and worked as a psychiatric registrar in Khartoum university hospital. I won a scholarship from British Council to study psychiatry in Britain.

In England in 1973, I was attached to the Institute of Psychiatry and the Maudsley Hospital. In 1976, I obtained the D.P.M. I passed my MRCPsych 1978 and specialized in all fields of Psychiatry. I worked in St. Augustine’s Hospital, Canterbury from 1976-1979.

Appointed as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University 1981-1990.
I published 12 papers, all in international Journals.

My work in Kuwait ended abruptly following the Iraqi invasion and the gulf war 1990.
I worked a whole time Consultant based and Burton Road Hospital, Dudley, 1991 –2002.
I worked as a community adult psychiatrist & senior lecturer in psychiatry from 19th August 02 with Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. I cover Dover city, based on Coleman House in Dover, and William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.
